Since The Imperial Sovereign Court of Small Claims, The Raintree Empire, was first established in the mid 1970s, the mission of the organization has been to support non-profit organizations serving the LGBTQ community and its allies in Southwest Washington.  More than 40 years later, the ISCRE continues that tradition by raising funds to support charitable organizations that serve LGBTQ people in Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania and Wahkiakum counties of Southwest Washington.

The ISCRE operates as an all-volunteer organization and has been continuously registered as a Regular Nonprofit Corporation with Charity Registration Certificate in the State of Washington since October 25, 1976. In January of 2023 the ISCRE officially became an 501(c)3 organization, enabling us to broaden our fundraising efforts.

The ISCRE is part of the International Court System, a network of over 60 organizations throughout North America.  The Courts raise funds and awareness, educate and teach, and help fulfill the needs of their LGBTQ communities.  The ISCRE maintains particularly close relationships with Courts in the Northwest.  Members of those Courts frequently attend ISCRE fundraisers, and ISCRE members frequently travel to return the favor.

The ISCRE is governed by a Board of Directors and led by reigning monarchs, Rain Emperors and Tree Empresses who organize various kinds of fundraisers as well as meetings and social events throughout each one-year Reign.  Many of the fundraisers feature entertainment by drag performers who lip-sync or sing live or entertain with choreography or comedic routines.

Membership in the ISCRE is open to adults who are 21 or older.  The ISCRE does not discriminate on the basis of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other way in which people are categorized.
